My journey began as an oil painter working as a carpenter, but seeing the artwork of James Hubbell changed everything. I refocused my career, expanding into stained glass and graphic arts. After twenty years as a freelance illustrator, I relocated to Julian, where I had the profound honor of becoming Hubbell's woodworker. In his final years, James invited me to move my operation into his workshop to keep its creative spirit alive and functioning.
